Our department welcomes people who want to give back, learn new skills, and be part of a team.
Membership requirements
- Age 16 or older for junior membership; age 18 or older for regular firefighter membership.
- No previous training required.
- Complete the department's membership application.
- Participate in at least one truck check each month.
- Attend monthly training and the business meeting.

Training provided
Fire, rescue, and emergency medical training is available through the department and local community colleges.
Retirement support
The department lists participation in the North Carolina pension fund, paid for by Pasquotank County.
